Principal's Message

Welcome to Potterville High School!

Our vision at Potterville High School is to promote excellence in education for all the students we serve. Therefore, we will design our programming and learning to promote academic achievement as well as personal and social growth for our students.

In order to support our students and create strong relationships, our staff have been trained in Capturing Kids’ Hearts. We know the research says, when students have built relationships and feel connected with the adults who support them and the school itself, they are more likely to be successful academically, behaviorally, and socially. We want the best for our students!

We believe a student’s education is a partnership between the school and family to help each student grow to be the best they can be. Therefore, we invite all parents to join our Parent Teacher Organization by contacting us at school if you are interested.

We are here to support your student(s). Therefore, please do not hesitate to contact the main office with questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Kaytie Palmiter
Potterville Middle & High School Principal

Mission / Vision

Mission

Potterville Middle/High School's mission is to create a school culture that fosters lifelong learning, academic achievement, and creative/critical thinking skills. We will encourage achievement through commitment to best teaching practice and will promote student proficiency of state and national standards. Establishing student-centered classrooms and using an inquiry-based approach, we will expect students to take personal responsibility for their educational development. Our staff and administration -- in cooperation with parents, students, and the community -- will commit to a comprehensive system of support to assure this outcome.

Vision

Potterville Middle/High School is a learning community where staff, students, parents, and the community know and believe that teaching and learning are the top priority. As a result, students view educational progress as their primary goal and responsibility. Students are held to high behavioral and academic expectations and take personal responsibility for their actions inside and outside of the classroom. Our students exhibit both the willingness and the ability to achieve at their maximum levels. We expect all PHS graduates to be self-sufficient, life-long learners who make positive contributions to society.
