Interim Superintendent Introduction
It is a privilege to serve as the Interim Superintendent of Potterville Public Schools. With over 29 years of experience as an instructional leader, including 18 years in administrative roles, my professional passion lies in fostering collaborative relationships and enhancing student achievement.
My leadership philosophy is guided by a commitment to systems thinking and a proven ability to bring structure and accountability to educational environments. My career has been dedicated to introducing creative academic opportunities, managing complex financial projects, and overseeing millions of dollars in state and federal grants. I am confident that these experiences will allow me to provide effective, stable leadership during this transitional period.
My 90-day entry plan is a transparent roadmap for this work, built upon five key pillars:
- Financial Stability: We will develop a sustainable budget and address debt through responsible allocation of resources, with clear reporting to the Board and community.
- Academic Excellence: We are committed to improving student achievement and ensuring equitable access to a high-quality education for all, guided by a data-driven approach.
- Community Engagement: I will actively work to build strong relationships with all stakeholders—parents, community members, and local organizations—through consistent and open communication.
- Operational Efficiency: We will streamline district operations to maximize our resources and hold all services to consistent, high standards.
- Transparency and Accountability: Establishing clear expectations and accountability measures is essential to maintaining trust and confidence across the district.
I believe in the power of a good team, and I am dedicated to working diligently with the Board of Education, staff, students, and community to ensure a smooth transition and a strong foundation for the future.
